A road in Studley has officially reopened after being closed for a number of weeks.
Green Lane has been under a full road closure since Tuesday, May 28 whilst work got underway to restore a former railway bridge.
The road was previously closed for a short period earlier this year for emergency works on Green Lane Bridge which were necessary before full repairs could be made.
The repair work included restoring the brickwork and pathways.
Residents in Redditch and Studley have now been told that the road has officially reopened and the work to the bridge has been completed.
Redditch Borough Council has since praised the hard work of the teams behind the project in restoring the early 19th century bridge.
In a post, Redditch Borough Council said: "Our work on the bridge on Green Lane has been completed and the road has been fully reopened.
"This has been very specialist work carefully restoring a blue brick Victorian bridge built in the 1800s but our team has smashed it."
In a post on Facebook, Councillor Emma Marshall added: "It's great to see this work completed which was started whilst I was in office.
"We listened to residents who said they didn't want to see the bridge removed and have invested the money into repairing it for generations to come."
The work was initially expected to take around six weeks to complete due to the delicate repairs that were needed but the timescale depended on what contractors discovered when the work was underway.
Whilst the site is in Studley and classed as Warwickshire, Redditch Borough Council contractors Kelbec will be completing the repair works.
The bridge technically falls under Stratford District, but Redditch Borough Council owns it owing to a quirk of the new town expansion of Redditch in the last century.
Redditch Borough Council has worked closely with both Warwickshire County Council and Stratford District Council on this project, with numerous plans discussed at each of the authorities' Planning Committees.
