A man has been left with "significant" facial injuries following an assault outside a pub in Alcester. 

Warwickshire Police said they were called at around 6.50pm on Sunday (August 11) to reports that a man in his 40s had been assaulted by five men outside the Alcester Inn on St Faith's Road. 

The men were described as being aged between 17 and 20. 

Officers said the victim received "significant facial injuries" during the alleged attack including a fractured cheekbone. 

The suspects are reported to have left the scene in a 67-plate dark grey Mercedes A-Class. 

The men are described as follows: 

  • A white male with short mousey-brown hair and wearing a black body warmer with no top underneath, knee-length black shorts, white socks and black trainers. 
  • A mixed-race male with brown curly hair and short sides and wearing a black tracksuit with grey stripes down the side and a grey man-bag. 
  • A white male with short brown hair brushed forward at the front and wearing a white t-shirt, grey jogging bottoms and a black man-bag. 
  • A mixed-race male with dark curly hair tied up at the back and wearing a black Nike tracksuit with a black man-bag. 
  • A white male wearing a black cap with a light-coloured circular logo and a black body warmer, grey t-shirt, black shorts, white socks and black trainers. 

A spokesperson for Warwickshire Police said: "If you saw what happened, can identify these men, or can otherwise help us with our investigations, including if you have CCTV or dashcam footage from the areas, contact us citing incident 316 of August 11."
