STAR Wars fans have the opportunity to see original props from the film and vintage toys at an exhibition.

The Forge Mill Needle Museum in Redditch is welcoming people young and old to 'The Toys Strike Back' exhibition, which also features drawing and Lego workshops.

Rubicon Leisure, who manages the museum, said: "In a museum far, far away… (actually, the Forge Mill Needle Museum in Redditch) you will find a brilliant exhibition to entertain children both young and old.

"From now until September 1st the museum is hosting ‘The Toys Strike Back’, an exhibition featuring one of the UK’s largest collections of vintage Star Wars toys and collectables.

"You will be transported back in time to a 1970s childhood where you can relive the thrill of the Rebel’s struggle against the evil Empire and see some original props that were used in the making of the films.

"There are selfie opportunities with both heroes and villains, and you can show off your Star Wars knowledge by completing a trail to help the Rebel Alliance to destroy the Death Star.

"May the Forge be with you."

There will also be Lego workshops at the exhibition, which will be delivered by the ‘Create Build Learn’ team, where guests can recreate their favourite scenes from the Star Wars films will run alongside the exhibition.

Star Wars fans can also learn to draw all their favourite characters from the film saga with Lucasfilm accredited artist, Lee Bradley who is holding workshops on August 22 and 29.
