A BRAND new store selling gifts, games and retro memorabilia has opened its doors in Redditch.
The Television and Movie Store is the latest addition to the Kingfisher Shopping Centre, which will hold its official opening day on Saturday (August 24).
The chain has stores stretching from Norwich, which opened nearly 15 years ago, to Taunton, which opened shortly after Covid restrictions were lifted.
The store specialises in all things television and movie related, but also features gaming-related products and more.
Store owner Steven Scott said: "We have been overwhelmed by the positive and warm-hearted reception we have had from shoppers even though the store is by no means yet completed.
"Further stock additions and promotions will be a constant during September and October, by which time we are also hoping to have Toy Heaven in place on the upper floor.
"We will be running a host of Black November offers starting at the beginning of November and running throughout it, and then trying to keep our heads above water in December.
"Although we opened on Saturday 17th, our official opening is this Saturday coming when we will be giving a free adult t shirt on request (design of our choice, size of the customer's choice) to the first 2,000 customers spending £5 or more instore.
"The offer will run until we close on Bank Holiday morning or our stock of free shirts is exhausted".
Adrian Field, the manager of Kingfisher Shopping Centre, said: "We are delighted to welcome The Television and Movie Store to the centre, and we are particularly pleased that we were able to do a deal from their initial enquiry to store opening in double quick time as well to help them capture the school holiday footfall.
"The unit has been busy since day one and is a great addition to Kingfisher in such a prominent position as well."
