Students across Redditch have been celebrating their GCSE and BTEC results as they secure places at their chosen colleges and other destinations.

Hardworking students at Trinity High School achieved more grades 7 to 9 than ever before with the majority of subjects achieving better results than 2022 and 2023. 

There were notable performances from students who achieved top grades including Harriet Coates, Omar Srour, Joe Leaver and Gracie Court who all achieved Grades 8 and 9 across all subjects. 

Headteacher Nigel Ford said: "I am really pleased with this year's results, which are a testament to the commitment and hard work of our students and staff.

"GCSE and BTEC qualifications are more challenging than ever before, and our staff and students have worked together as a community to ensure our students achieved well and all had big smiles on their faces as they opened their results."

Saint Augustine’s Catholic High School celebrated another year of exceptional results across all subjects with 78.8% of students achieving at least 5 good passes including English and Maths.

Principal Luke Payton said: "We are incredibly proud of our students' achievements. These results are a reflection of their resilience, determination, and the high standards of teaching and support provided by our staff.

"Each student has demonstrated remarkable perseverance, and we are confident they will continue to excel as they move forward in their educational journey."

Individual successes include Theo Twomey who achieved five grade 9s, three grade 8s and three grade 7s.

Tia Shaju achieved five grade 9s, three grade 8s, two grade 7s and a grade 5.

Charlotte Smith achieved four grade 9s, five grade 8s and one grade 6.

Evie Baker achieved four grade 9s, four grade 8s, two grade 7s and one grade 6 and Harry Nickless who achieved 3 grade 9s, four grade 8s, three grade 7s and one grade 5. 

At Ridgeway Secondary School, attainment across the three core subjects jumped significantly with the school proud of the "incredible" results and "resilience" of students. 

Headteacher Matt Ball said: "They are a significant milestone on our drive to be the very best school for our students and our community.

"These grades are just reward for our extremely hard-working students and staff who have shown tremendous effort, skill and resilience and worked together to produce outstanding outcomes."

Standout performances include Scarlett Alborghetti-Savage, Rhys Smith, Lachy McNaughton, Jess Hawkes, Corin Caple, Oliver Kyte, Victoria Mushen, Liam Robertson and Brooke Marshall. 

Students and staff at Arrow Vale High School celebrated an excellent set of GCSE results with this year's cohort achieving the school's highest-ever percentage of grade 7s in English and maths. 

Ian Mellor, Executive Principal at Arrow Vale, said: "Today we celebrate the fantastic achievements of our students.

"The outcomes this year reflect hard work, dedication, and excellent working relationships with staff. Congratulations to all students and their families."

Studley High School said: "The students and staff have worked tirelessly to achieve the best results the school has ever seen.

"We are now excited to see the opportunities that students are presented with following their achievements."

Claire Paddock, principal at St Benedict's Catholic High School, said: "We are so proud of every student collecting their results today. 

"They are an incredibly positive and cohesive group of students who will be fondly remembered for years to come. 

"I would like to thank all staff and parents for the work and support they have provided, it is much appreciated."

Marie McNamara, principal at Tudor Grange Academy, said: "GCSE exams take a tremendous amount of work and focus, and it’s such a pleasure to see this hard work paying off for so many of our pupils.
