A CHARITY in Redditch has received a cash boost of more than £3,000 thanks to events held by the team at a housebuilding company.

Members of the Studley-based team at Persimmon Homes South Midlands have taken part in a number of events, including dress down Fridays and raffles in order to raise funds for Where Next Association.

It's a local charity providing work experience and training for people with learning disabilities.

The charity has offices in both Redditch and Studley, providing quality day services for 40 years, with the simple aim of nurturing the potential of everybody who attends.

Nikki Levy at Where Next Association, said: “This year sees Where Next Association celebrate its 40th Anniversary supporting adults with a range of disabilities, we support well over 100 individuals each week across two sites, having the support from companies like Persimmon Homes South Midlands is very much appreciated by us all at the Charity, your support ensures we can continue making a real difference in peoples lives, we are extremely grateful to everyone at Persimmons Homes South Midlands for raising an incredible amount of £3,000 for us.”

Russell Griffin, managing director at Persimmon Homes South Midlands, said: “What we do is about so much more than building quality homes; it’s also about supporting the communities in which we build in a number of ways.

“At Persimmon, we encourage our team to raise funds for causes close to their hearts and it’s great to know that our fundraising efforts have been able to raise a significant amount for Where Next Association, who do such vital work in the local community.”
