THE driver of a car which crashed in Redditch was taken to hospital.
The single-vehicle crash happened on the A435 Alcester Road, with the road to Bransons Cross closed while emergency services were at the scene.
Fire crews from Redditch and Warwickshire attended as well as police and the ambulance service.
A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire Service said they were called at 10.25pm last night (Saturday September 7).
They said: "We were called to a car which had gone into a tree.
"One casualty was taken to hospital and is expected to make a recovery."
West Mercia Police said last night: "Due to a road traffic collision on the A435, Alcester Road to Bransons Cross, the road is currently closed.
"Officers are currently at the scene and ask for you to find an alternative route."
