A community performing arts company has announced a series of performances across Worcestershire for its winter/spring line-up.

With a line-up featuring music, drama, comedy-theatre, dance, storytelling, and puppetry, Live & Local promises a bit of something for everyone.

Funded by Arts Council England and local councils, the company has been bringing shows to community venues for over 33 years.

This season, running into the Christmas period, will introduce audiences to new performers and shows, as well as welcoming back some old favourites.

Steve Wilson, artist engagement officer at the company, said: "We’re extremely excited to launch this new season, packed full of high-quality shows from established and emerging artists and performers.

"It’s also really exciting to see many of the artists who have participated in our talent development programme DART (Developing Artists for Rural Touring) progress on to our menu and see them embraced by our network of promoters.

"Audiences are going to love it."

Highlights of the season include 'Watson: The Final Problem' by Smokescreen, starring Tim Marriot as Dr Watson, and Pentabus Theatre Company's new musical 'Make Good: The Post Office Scandal'.

Psychologist and songwriter Steve Bonham, alongside composer Chris Lydon, will present an interactive wellbeing musical show, 'How to Survive and Thrive in an Impossible World - with a piano!'.

As Christmas approaches, the Orchestra of the Swan will perform 'Midwinter', an eight-piece orchestra tribute to the festive season.
