A Christmas market that takes place less than an hour’s drive away from Worcester has been named one of the 18 best in the UK on a list by The Times.
The newspaper encouraged its readers to “add some festive cheer to your calendar with a trip to one of these twinkling winter wonderlands”.
It added: “Join the party in pop-up bars and street-food stalls to a soundtrack of carol singers and live bands, and fill up on festive treats when you’re not riding a giant ferris wheel or gliding around an ice rink. Here are some of the best Christmas markets in the UK to discover this winter.”
Stratford-upon-Avon’s Christmas market was ranked in 15th place in the list and was described as being the “best for entertainment”.

The Times said: “More than 200 stalls fill Stratford-upon-Avon’s historic streets during its Christmas market, which runs over two consecutive weekends.
“As you wander under twinkling lights and past wooden chalets selling Christmas gifts and seasonal snacks, you’ll be entertained by roaming street entertainers to get you into the festive spirit.”

If you'd like to visit Stratford's Christmas market this year, you can get all the festive vibes on two December weekends - Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 and Saturday 14 and Sunday 15, according to its Facebook page.
