A man has been left with "potentially serious injuries" following a single-vehicle collision on a busy main road.
West Mercia Police said they were called to a single-car collision on the A435 Alcester Road at around 6.25pm yesterday (Thursday, September 26).
West Midlands Ambulance Service was also called to the scene near the Portway and sent an ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Air Ambulance Critical Care Car.
On arrival, crews found one patient, a man, who was the driver of the vehicle.
He was treated at the scene for potentially serious injuries before being taken to hospital.
Police confirmed that no arrests were made.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a one car RTC on Alcester Road, Portway, Birmingham at 6.24pm.
"We sent an ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Air Ambulance Critical Care Car from Tatenhill to the scene. Upon arrival crews found one patient, a man, who was the driver of the vehicle.
"Ambulance staff treated him, for potentially serious injuries on scene, before conveying him to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital."
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police added: "We were called to a single vehicle collision on the A435 Alcester Road yesterday (Thursday, September 26) at around 6.25pm.
"One man was taken to hospital, his injuries were not thought to be serious or life-threatening. No arrests were made."
