MOTORISTS are being warned to refrain from parking where cones have been placed in the town centre whilst improvement works are taking place.

Redditch Police have said there have been near misses between vehicles due to people parking on Church Green West where cones have been placed.

Officers said that a vehicle had recently been hit by another trying to pass on the road.

A Worcestershire County Council scheme is currently taking place to improve parts of the town centre.

On Facebook, Redditch Police said: "Due to ongoing works on Unicorn Hill & Church Green West in the Town Centre can you please refrain from parking where the cones are, we have had several near misses between vehicles and one vehicle hit by another trying to get passed".
