A new online book club has been launched for Worcestershire readers.

The Worcestershire Book Chat will kick off on Tuesday (October 15), offering an online platform for readers to discuss monthly titles selected by Worcestershire County Council's Library Service.

The book club is a response to the popularity of the county's Reads and Listens e-books and e-audiobooks, which have seen over 27,500 combined downloads since their respective launches.

The book club is aimed at readers who either want to discuss completed titles or are in search of new recommendations.

The book club, led by the library team, will also provide readers with a space to share thoughts on past titles and preview upcoming ones.

The first meeting takes place on Tuesday at 2:30pm, providing readers the chance to meet others who share their love for books and grow a reading community.

Readers can book their free place now.

In September 2023, 'Worcestershire Reads' launched, leading to the borrowing of over 11,000 e-books, while 'Worcestershire Listens' was introduced in December, resulting in the borrowing of over 16,500 e-audiobooks.
