A TEENAGER has died after being stabbed in Solihull last night.

A 17-year-old boy was treated by emergency services for injuries he sustained during an attack on Station Road, Marston Green, but later died.

West Midlands Police (WMP) were called to the incident at around 6.20pm on October 29 and have since arrested another 17-year-old boy on suspicion of murder.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance service said: “We were called at 6.24pm on Tuesday to reports of a stabbing in Marston Green, Solihull.

“Two ambulances, a paramedic officer, a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic and a Critical Care Car from The Air Ambulance Service attended the scene.

“Upon arrival, we found a teenage boy who had sustained life-threatening injuries.

“He received advanced trauma care and advanced life support at the scene but unfortunately, despite the best efforts of ambulance staff, nothing more could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased at the scene.”

Supt Wayne Carter, of Solihull Police, said: "We know people will understandably be concerned and we will be in the area conducting enquiries throughout the day.

"We will have extra officers in the area over the coming days and I would encourage anyone with any information, or concerns, to get in touch."

He remains in police custody as police continue their investigation.

Officers have confirmed a crime scene remains in place on Station Road this morning, with the road being closed.

WMP are appealing for any witnesses who have not yet spoken to officers to come forward and have urged anyone with information regarding the incident to call them on 101 and quote log 4239, 29.10.2024.
