Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following a fatal crash in Redditch.
West Mercia Police said they were called at around 10.10am on Sunday (November 3) to reports that a blue BMW 530 had left the road and ended up in a ditch.
Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance attended the scene.
Ambulance crews arrived to find police and fire crews performing CPR on the driver, a man, who had been extracted from the car.
Despite the best efforts of the ambulance staff, the driver, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "Crews arrived quickly on the scene to find police and fire colleagues performing CPR on the driver, a man, who had been extricated from the car.
"The team of ambulance staff commenced advanced life support on the scene but sadly, despite the best efforts of everyone, nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead a short time later at the scene."
