JOBS have been saved at a Redditch firm which had fallen into administration last month.
Stride Supplies Limited, a supplier of steel spring wire to the automotive, medical, aerospace and oil & gas industries, has been successfully sold, preserving all 12 employee jobs and the future of the business for customers.
Mark Blackman and Benjamin Wiles of firm Kroll were appointed as joint administrators for Stride Supplies Ltd on October 23 2024, and immediately sold the business and the majority of assets through a pre-packaged sale. They have confirmed the firm has been sold to 'Stride Supplies Redditch Limited'.
Stride Supplies is one of the UK’s largest spring wire distributors headquartered at Lakeside Industrial Estate in Redditch.
It supplied all grades of spring wire throughout the UK, Europe and Far East. The business held long-standing customer relationships which fed in to a global customer base.
Prior to the administration, the company operated across two leasehold premises in the Midlands.
Mark Blackman, senior director of Kroll, said: “We’re pleased to have been able to secure the future of this key UK-based spring distributor, along with securing the jobs of all employees.”
Will Jones, Elizabeth Wood and Struan Mackenzie at Hill Dickinson law firm supported Kroll on the sale of the business.
Stride Supplies owner Stuart Hipkins said: “Stride restructured its debt commitments, but the core business and the staff which support it will continue to trade and be the UK's leading stock holder of spring wire.
"It will continue to expand into new global markets.”
