A WOMAN who was fatally stabbed in Redditch has been named as Cheryl McKenna.

Cheryl’s family paid a heart-breaking tribute to the 44-year-old after she was found with stab wounds at a home in Other Road. She was pronounced dead at the scene. 

In a statement, her family said: “Cheryl was a huge and integral part of our family and will be missed terribly as a mother, daughter, sister and aunt.”

West Mercia Police have launched a murder investigation and have charged a 46-year-old man with murder.

Chris Hemming also of Other Road, Redditch was charged on November 12 and remains in custody.

He is due to appear at Worcester Crown Court today, November 14. 

West Mercia Police were called to Other Road at around 9.30am on Monday, November 11.
