A BELOVED German Shepherd has been found after a Land Rover was stolen with the dog inside.
Tink the dog is now back home with her owners after a public appeal to find her was widely shared on Facebook.
The Land Rover Freelander was stolen when farmer and dog owner Andy Moakes was delivering hay to an address on Houndsfield Lane in Wythall on Sunday (November 17).
He was picking up some step ladders when he returned to find the Land Rover Freelander and the trailer had been taken.
His wife Tina Kazmi said that four of her pet Jack Russell Terrier dogs were also in the car but were later found dumped at Weatheroak Hill and Aspley Heath Lane.
But her beloved white German Shepherd Tink, who is two and a half years old, was missing, with family and friends frantically searching to find her.
Now following an urgent appeal for members of the public to be on the lookout for Tink, the beloved dog has now been found.
Tina said: "So pleased to report Tink has been found so all our dogs are back home safe with us again.
"The power of social media and dog lovers alike.
"We were called by a member of the public who had seen the post on a local ‘spotted’ FB page and they waited for us to arrive on site before taking their ‘eyes’ off the car".
West Mercia Police have said they received a call around 2.30pm on Sunday afternoon with a report of vehicle theft and confirmed that their enquiries are ongoing.
