THE nights are drawing in and it is safe to say the festive season has arrived (oh, yes it has).

For those of you already thawing out the Christmas jumpers and dusting off your Michael Bublé album, it's time to fill the calendar to the brim with seasonal activities.

As they say in Miracle on 34th Street: "Christmas isn't just a day, it's a frame of mind.”

I guess nothing quite says Christmas like enchanting lights.

To see what the fuss was about and to kick start my festival calendar, I visited The Enchanted Gardens - a Webbs of Wychbold Alice in Wonderland themed trail set to take visitors down the rabbit hole.

And I must admit, it did just that.

How much did The Enchanted Gardens Wonderland cost?

The tickets come in three prices, depending on which day you go.

On the day I went, it was in the medium price range: £18 per adult and £12 for children.

I had no idea what I was getting myself in for, and I was mind-blown by what I saw.

As soon as I walked into the gardens, I was greeted by light-up moving displays, magical music and snow.

Yes, they managed to make it snow. And yes, my inner child did get emotional.

Live actors also helped paint this story.

My favourite feature was the caterpillar, who instead of blowing a puff of smoke, blew out an array of bubbles.

That also included unfortunately skipping the Santa Meet and Greet section.

If I am honest, I was unsure how it might look to be surrounded by children while I, a full-grown woman, sat on his lap and asked for some Dior J'adore 30ml perfume (hint, hint).

My childhood. When everything about the season was still magical and filled with wonder.

It was a delight seeing the excitement in not just the children's faces but also the adults that accompanied them.

It's definitely something I will be putting on next year's calendar as a reminder.
