A MUM-of-two has said she's "struggling to breathe" in her home which has been taken over by mould.
Katherine Judson, who suffers from asthma, emphysema and Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is concerned for her health as the black mould problem in her Redditch home worsens heading into Winter.
The 41-year-old has described how water from condensation has been "dripping" from ceilings, with mould festering in the bedrooms and bathroom of the house on Astley Close in Woodrow.
She said: "I'm really struggling to breathe in the house.
"About three weeks ago it started to get really really bad.
"It's in my room, it's in my 15-year-old son's room, in my 18-year-old son's room. It's in the bathroom.
"My doors are all black from mould. If you go into the bathroom you can actually smell the mould - it's really horrible in the bathroom.
"It's dripping off the ceilings, it's coming from condensation.
"I've had to go out and buy industrial dehumidifiers".
Ms Judson says the issue has been ongoing for several years and fears her health is deteriorating.
She says she has contacted Redditch Borough Council and wants the issue sorted so the mould stops returning with a vengeance when removed.
A spokesperson for Redditch Borough Council said: "We are heading out there to assess reports that there's water damage from the roof of this property through to the bedroom and bathroom ceiling.
"Any requirement for immediate repairs will be carried out on the spot, or we may need to have a return visit for any roofing issues that may need repairing.
"We need to assess the situation".
