A woman has been jailed after two cars were stolen during a burglary in Redditch last year.
In the early hours of October 16, 2023, a BMW X3 and Range Rover Evoque were stolen from a driveway on Great Hockings Lane after the property was burgled and keys to the cars were taken.
On Friday (November 29), Charity Bravington, aged 27, of HMP Peterborough, was sentenced to two years in prison for burglary after she pleaded guilty to the offences.
Detective Constable Dave Crofts from North Worcestershire’s Proactive CID team said: "Bravington was seen running from the scene where the two vehicles had been driven into bollards in Redditch town centre a short time after being stolen.
"She was subsequently arrested and despite denying all offences during interviews, later pleaded guilty in court.
"We are pleased to see another burglar behind bars following last week’s court result. Their actions not only cause financial damage and distress to the victim but affect the wider community."
Bravington was also sentenced to 14 months for dangerous driving and three months for driving while under the influence of drugs, with all terms to run concurrently.
Mickylee Judge, aged 23, of HMP Leicester, has been charged with burglary and dangerous driving in relation to the same incident.
His first court appearance is Thursday (December 5).
