FROM the ashes have grown the roses of success – in the form of Moatfield Middle School’s fourth year football team.
The school was tragically burnt down in December and most of the footballers now only see each other on match days but they have battled their way to the final of the school’s County Cup.
What’s more, all eleven football kits went up in flames during the blaze so the boys have been turning out in rags.
But it is from rags to riches for the team now and Feckenham Football Club has come to the rescue by giving Moatfield on of their strips for the final.
Headmaster Mr Stanley Taylor said: “I am extremely proud of the lads – they played very well in the semi-final.”
