NATIONAL Health Service cuts are being fought by Redditch Council, which is supporting two other authorities in a bid to change Government policies.
Councillors voted to give full support to letters which were due to be sent to the Prime Minister from Crawley Borough Council and Chester-le-Street District Council.
Strong wording was used in the letters and councillors hoped the Government would sit up and take notice.
But some Tories said parts of the letter from Crawley were not productive and had just been written to score political points.
Councillor John Coleman said: “Although I agree the health service must be protected, words like ‘cruel’, ‘deceitful’ and ‘disregard’ will not help the cause.”
