THE annual vestry meeting of St Luke’s Church was held in the vestry on Tuesday night and the Rev S Baber presided.
Colonel H S Bartleet (people’s warden) read the statement of accounts for the year.
This showed that the receipts were less than last year by about £10, although all expenses had been met, and a balance at the bank of £5 7s 11d.
He remarked that there were two Sundays less in the year than in the previous year, and the Rector observed that there also may have been further offertories given to other causes.
