WILLIAM Wilson was charged with being drunk and disorderly in Hewell Road, Redditch, on the 17th instant.
He pleaded guilty. Police constable Ford stated at 11.30pm he saw defendant who was very drunk, staggering about and shouting, “Where the (obscenity) am I?”
He asked him for his name and the defendant replied he had not got one. Asked where he lived, he replied, “You find out”.
Defendant was also charged with assaulting Police constable Ford while in the execution of his duty. It appeared that when taken into custody, defendant became very violent, kicked Police constable Ford on the leg, bit two of his fingers and caught hold of his whistle and broke the chain.
The bench imposed a fine of 2s 6d and 7s 6d costs for being drunk and disorderly and sentenced the defendant to fourteen days imprisonment for assaulting the police officer.
