Ian Mytton, 41, of Gateley Close in Redditch, is one of three men arrested over the death of Wales fan Mr Dye, 44, who was found outside Wembley Stadium on Tuesday, September 6.
The father of three was found with fatal head injuries before Wales played England in a Euro 2012 qualifier.
He was taken to Northwick Park hospital but later died.
A postmortem showed the cause of death to be blunt trauma to the back of the head.
Mytton spoke only to give his personal details during the hearing and was remanded in custody by magistrates and will appear at Worcester Crown Court on September 20.
