CONTROVERSIAL plans to build on the Brockhill ADR (area of development restraint) have been given the go-ahead.
At a Redditch Council planning meeting held last week councillors approved re-submitted plans by Persimmon to build 171 homes and 4,738 square metres of office space on the land, to the east of Brockhill Lane.
The application also involves plans to build the first stages of a major link road opening up development on the Redditch and Bromsgrove green belt in future stages.
The original application was unanimously criticised by the planning committee who rejected the planning application because of a number of concerns.
Councillors did however place a number of conditions on Persimmon.
