YOUNGSTERS are being given the chance to have their say on the future of youth services in the town.

Worcestershire County Council wants to know what young people, parents and carers think about the ideas for changing the way positive activities, or youth services, are delivered.

The council is urging children and young people to come along to a number of consultation events, which are being run by Worcestershire Youth Cabinet.

Events in Redditch include one at Trinity High School during the day on September 22 and one at What's Your Idea, Autism Group in Matchborough, from 7pm on the same day.

Feedback from the consultation will then be considered and used to inform decisions about the future of youth services.

Councillor Liz Eyre said: "I really want as many children and young people as possible along with anyone else with an interest to take this opportunity to have their say.

“It couldn't be easier to get your voice heard, simply log-on to our website or better still, go along to one of the many consultation events.

“This is your opportunity to shape the future of positive activities in the county and all ideas will be listened to."

People have until September 30 to provide their views.
