RESIDENTS are being invited to St Peter’s Church in Inkberrow for an ambitious orchestral concert in aid of the child victims of the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
Jenny Powis has organised the event, which has in the past raised thousands of pounds for the charity as well as the church.
The concert, performed by Inkberrow Sinfonia, opens with Beethoven’s stirring overture Coriolan before the orchestra is joined by a number of special guests.
In the beautiful surroundings of Inkberrow’s 13th century church set in the Worcestershire countryside, this promises to be a rare musical treat.
The concert is on Saturday, September 24.
