A DESIGN project by an Alcester-based company has been named the best new-build coastal home development by the Daily Telegraph.
AJM Associates, based in Alcester, designed the Kingsale Heights development on a hillside above Salcombe harbour in Devon, taking in the views of the estuary and surrounding countryside.
Company director Andy Mann, said: “It’s fantastic that the quality of our work has been recognised in such a way. This came as a complete surprise and it is still sinking in.
“The site presented a few challenges, not least the steep slope and a height restriction, but we used the constraints to achieve a design which provides very individual homes with a wealth of desirable features and distinctive local character.”
The developer for the project was Greywell Property Ltd.
Managing director Rupert Hopcraft, added; “From the initial concept sketches to the detailed construction drawings, AJM Associates provided a first class service, and I am very pleased indeed with the completed design.”
The design was voted number one in the Top Ten New-Build Coastal Homes by the Telegraph.
