A COMMUNITY event in Headless Cross has been hailed a huge success.
Residents were invited to a celebration at the Headless Cross orchard and wildflower meadow at the weekend to take part in a number of workshops and activities to do with sharing local food.
The event, organised by a group of volunteers looking after the orchard, also saw a number of community groups take part.
Alistair Waugh said: “The event was a great success and lots of fun. There was a buzz of activity throughout the day with lots of people and groups joining in.”
He added: “Hopefully this will be the first of many.
“We’re keen to have regular events on the green from a Wassail in the new year, to blossom walks and apple days.”
