TWO men have been charged in connection with a robbery in Wythall.
A man was driving along the A345 at Portway, Wythall, at about 4.30am on Friday, September 23 when his car was hit from behind by another vehicle.
The door was opened and he was punched several times in the face, and a substantial quantity of cash stolen from his trouser pocket.
The victim, a man in his 50s, sustained a swollen and bruised right eye and reddening to the left cheek and was treated at the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch.
Two Birmingham men were arrested during the weekend and have been charged with robbery.
Asif Khan, aged 19, of Townley Gardens, Aston, and Muzakir Hussain, aged 20, of Walsall Road in Perry Barr, appeared before Redditch magistrates on Monday, September 26 and were granted conditional bail, to appear before Worcester Crown Court in January.
