AS part of the centenary of scouting in Redditch a campaign has been launched to encourage more people to come forward as adult volunteers.
Scouts recently held a recruitment event at the Kingfisher Shopping Centre where people had the chance to talk to current volunteers and find out about the opportunities, support and training that is available.
There was also a display of a bicycle powered smoothie maker.
Sally Payne, group scout leader in Astwood Bank, said: “Scout volunteers make a massive difference to the lives of young people by giving them the opportunity to try new things, explore their talents, develop their values and beliefs and get the most out of life.”
