STAFF at Tesco Redditch, in Oakenshaw, proved they were willing to go that extra mile to help a worthy cause.
When they were approached by Patrick Carroll, who said he wanted to do a sponsored 100-mile cycle ride in aid of Help for Heroes, store manager Keith Davis immediately stepped in and donated a bike for Mr Carroll to use during his challenge.
He set off on the ride from the store on Saturday and finished it the following day.
A Tesco spokesman said: "This is a very worthy cause and Tesco was proud to be involved."
