ALCESTER policing will be making room for an influx of staff this Friday, as the Henley Safer Neighbourhood Team relocates to the town.
The move means that although there will still be officers making regular patrols in Henley and holding surgeries, the staff will al now be based in Alcester.
Alcester Police Station closed its doors to walk-in enquiries from the public last year, but staff for the Alcester North and Alcester South Safer Neighbourhood teams, still operate from the station, using it as a base.
There have been concerns that the building would be closed completely and the offices moved to another location in Alcester.
The nearest police public enquiry desk for people in Henley will now be Alcester’s Globe House, where the town council is operating a one-stop-shop.
