MORE than 100 shoppers in Bidford took part in a raffle recently to raise funds for Alcester and District Lions Club.
Over the weekend of September 9 and 10, customers at the Budgens store in Bidford were invited to pay a £1 to enter their till receipts into a ‘till-roll-raffle’ with the winner getting the value of their day’s purchases back by means of a prize.
125 people took part in total, helping to raise £144 toward the Lions’ charities fund, and the winner, Carol Upham of Bidford, walked away with her £25 worth of shopping free.
