THIS autumn, as the leaves start to change colours, Redditch Ramblers are inviting people to join them for ‘A Walk in the Woods’ Week, which runs from October 3-9, supported by Bosch.
People can join the Ramblers on one of hundreds of free woodland walks taking place across the country; from family-friendly forest adventures to autumnal woodland strolls.
The aim of the festival is to encourage as many people as possible to experience the wonders of walking through woodland and highlight the Ramblers campaign to save woodland walks. Following plans to sell off England’s Public Forest Estate the campaign was launched to ensure current access was protected and increase access to all woodland in England and Wales.
Join Redditch Ramblers for a walk through woodland between Chaddesley Corbett and Dodford on October 9. Particpants should meet at Bromsgrove District Council offices, postcode B60 1AA, at 9.30am.
Bosch is supporting the ‘Walk in the Woods’ week and helping to raise the awareness about Britain’s native trees. Bosch will be conducting research that will test the nation on their tree trivia, with all the most and least popular trees featured at bestbritishtrees.co.uk.
