POLICE are appealing for witnesses and information following a Redditch burglary during which items specially designed for blind people were taken, including a talking watch.
It happened at a house off Home Meadow Lane in Church Hill, between 11pm on Thursday, September 29, and 6am on Friday, September 30.
Items stolen included a Sony 32inch TV worth £500, a gold diamond cluster ring (value unknown), a small amount of cash and two items designed to be used by a blind person; a red Doro mobile phone worth £145 and a Cobra talking watch worth £35.
PC Rhian O'Reilly said: "Fortunately the mobile phone has since been recovered but the other items are still outstanding.
"Obviously the victim is eager to have them returned as soon as possible and we would therefore like to hear from anyone who can help us with our investigation.
"We would also like to hear from anyone who may have been offered items for sale similar to those stolen."
Police are appealing for anyone who saw any suspicious activity or unusual vehicles in the area during the relevant times to contact PC Rhian O'Reilly on 0300 333 3000, quoting incident 86-S-300911, or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
