CHILDREN in Alcester are being invited to create their own posters and poems to keep people safe this November as part of the county council’s Firework Safety ‘Poem and Poster’ Competition.

The competition is divided into two age categories, with children in years one and two being invited to design their own safety poster, while children in years three to six, are being asked to submit their own firework poems or rhymes.

There will be two winners chosen from the Stratford district, one for each category, and each of them will receive a £10 book token as a prize, as well as getting the opportunity to see their poster an poem used to promote next year’s competition.

Children can enter the competition as many times as they like, and entries should all be on A4 paper, with the entrant’s name, age, and school, on the back.
