RESIDENTS at a Redditch nursing home could be forgiven for thinking they’ve travelled back in time.
People at Southcrest Care Nursing Home, in Mount Pleasant, have been treated to a reminiscence room - a room featuring items ranging from the 1930s and 1940s.
To officially open the room, Redditch mayor Anita Clayton paid the home a visit.
Nursing home manager Tracey Jary said: “We have a number of residents with dementia needs so being somewhere familiar can be comforting for them.
“Despite just having the official opening the room has been in use for about a month and we’ve had great feedback from our residents, they all say it’s a wonderful idea.”
