AFTER reading the Advertiser’s report concerning volunteer litter pickers required on May 22, meeting at Church Hill Centre, I decided to do my bit, as I’ve often considered helping clean up this one-time lovely town.

The group of people who turned up were very nice and friendly and it was a pleasure to spend time with them. At the end of the litter pick, I couldn’t believe how much litter we all picked up and now I am considering taking on this task on a regular basis. It wouldn’t hurt residents to clear up ant litter outside their houses and gardens. I also urge others to join these litter picking groups. So, please get out and about all of you and do your bit. It will be appreciated.
