I’M writing to show my appreciation to all the consulting, doctors and nursing staff in the A&E and Ward 6.
You only ever hear in the news about bad points, but I want to have my say on the good points.
On Saturday, August 27, I had chest pains and was short of breath so my wife contacted 999. The paramedics said my stats were low and decided to take me to the Alexandra Hospital.
On the way, I collapsed and had to be resuscitated. I owe this paramedic my life.
Once a bed was made available I was transferred to Ward 6 and I stayed there until Friday.
The staff were, as you’d expect, professional and jolly, keeping the ward happy and relaxed.
After all the tests had been done, I was finally allowed to leave as all my tests had come back clear.
Once again, if it hadn’t been for all the carers, paramedics, consultants, staff nurses, and heath care assistants I wouldn’t be here today.
I owe you all my life. Thank you.
Clive Wilkins, Bromsgrove
