BROMSGROVE and Redditch AC member Jo Frost returned from the European Masters Athletics Championships in Italy with three medals.
The 37-year-old triumphed in the W35 60-metre sprint and long jump, as well as clinching silver in the 4x200m relay.
She was part of 285 British athletes competing in the Championships, which saw 2,350 enter from 43 countries.
Qualification for the 60m came with the fastest time of the competition of 7.91 seconds, but the final provided a tight race where she was able to see off GB teammate Claire Spurway, winning in a time of 7.93s.
Following on from her world title jump in Lyon last August, she clinched gold again with a season’s best leap of 5.79m.
Frost said: “I had a good winter’s training and then picked up an injury at the end of January meaning I had to miss several weeks of training, undergo lots of physio and was unsure if I would even get to the Euro Championships.
“I only started training properly again in the last few weeks before they started, so was really pleased to have won two golds.”
Frost now sets her sights on the World Championships in October in Perth, Australia, where she hopes to retain her world title in the long jump Joand compete in the 100m.
Great Britain finished third in the medal table after a grand total of 159 medals, as they earned 68 golds, 41 silver and 50 bronze.
Germany and Italy took the top two spots, with 266 and 265-medal hauls respectively.
Meanwhile, at the ERRA English National Women’s six-stage road relays, the BRAC team of Ruth Gameson, Tamara Freeman, Melanie Hepke, Charlotte Ball, Helen Russell and Debbie Simpson finished 38th.
