ALCESTER Grammar School pupil Rory Sullivan has won a gold medal as part of Great Britain's Junior 16 rowing squad.
The 16-year-old was selected at trials held in Nottingham and he then took part in a four-day GB rowing camp - thanks to the backing of Redditch-based UnoMedical - with eight other rowers from Evesham Rowing Club.
Sullivan was a member of the J16 coxless quad alongside Oli Staite, Danny Middleton and Will Tew.
They clinched gold in a race against the top French crews.
The boys are next in action at this weekend's National Championships.
