CRICKET - ASTWOOD Bank completed their Worcestershire League Division One campaign with a dazzling six wicket win at title hopefuls Worcester Nomads.

Bowler Jon Summers was the star turn for the visitors, continuing his good form with figures of 7-57 as their hosts were dismissed for 212.

In reply, the Bank cruised home, reaching 213-4 with Andy Clayton scoring 53 while David Sewell was there at the close on 65no.

The win hoisted the Jill Lane side up to third behind Nomads and promoted Brockhampton.

Redditch finished fifth following their winning draw at home to Bromyard, John Lostitch taking 5-21.

There were mixed feelings for Feckenham skipper Peter Monk who hit an unbeaten 77 only for his side to miss out at Oldswinford in Division Two.

Stephen Haines claimed 5-75 as the home side were dismissed for 257. But Feckenham's reply was cut short and they were left on 215-6 at the close handing Oldswinford a winning draw.

Also in Division Two, Alvechurch claimed a winning draw at home to relegated Monmouth.

James Clifford top scored for the home side with 74, helping them to 235 all out.

Solid bowling from Chamila Gamage (4-42) and Neil Evans (4-67) had the visitors reeling but they managed to hold on at 136-9.

Feckenham ended the season in ninth with Alvechurch in eighth.
