IT was a mixed week for Studley FC with defeat against in midweek away at Stourport, losing yet another close game with Stour taking the lead early on with a good finish by the much travelled Lee Chilton.
Strive as they might Studley could not open up the Stour defence and it was 1-0 at half time.
in the second half Stour again scored fairly early on to open a 2-0 lead.
Studley kept probing and eventualy got their reward when Ashanti Pryce scoring a good goal midway through the half.
With Studley pushing for an equaliser and leaving gaps at the back both sides had chances but neither side could convert so game ended 2-1 to Stourport.
On Saturday back at home against leaders AFC WUlfs who Studley had beaten earlier in the season.
The game was nip and tuck with neither goalkeeper being troubled until the 31st minute when Ashanti Pryce showed his class with a fine finish to give The Bees a halftime lead.
The second half was again a cagey game with AFC having more of the ball but Studley were dangerous on the break and indeed Pryce added his and Studley’s second after a fine run and cross by Sam Jackson found Pryce at the back post.
So The Bees do the double over AFC and stop a losing run.
