REDDITCH United continued their losing streak with a 3-0 setback at play-off rivals AFC Telford in Southern League Premier Division Central.
The Reds started off positively with some early pressure that led to Telford having a nervy start.
A pass back to home goalkeeper Brandon Hall was miskicked and nearly fell to forward Danny King but was cleared by a defender.
The Bucks went close to taking the lead after some neat play down the left from Jared Hodgkiss saw his cut-back narrowly struck over by Montel Gibson.
Just minutes later Telford came close again when a free-kick from Remi Walker on the edge of the area smacked off the bar.
Jordan Cranston took an audacious effort from inside his own half and was inches away from catching the keeper out as the ball hit the side-netting.
Telford swooped for the first goal in the 25th minute after Walker’s corner found an unmarked Gibson who headed home past Adam Harrison.
The Reds hit back and had a couple of chances to equalise.
Alex Cameron’s shot was just wide and Danny King’s effort after a neat move was held by the keeper.
Harrison saved well on the brink of half-time to deny Byron Moore’s close-range shot.
But things went from bad to worse for Redditch in the 52nd minute after they conceded from another corner.
The ball was whipped in at the far post and there was a scramble but Matty Stenson squeezed it in to make it two.
With 20 minutes to go Walker sealed the deal to make it three for the Bucks.
A promising Redditch attack was snuffed out and Telford broke quickly as Stenson’s ball in took a poor touch from Gibson but Walker was there to finish.
The Reds were awarded a penalty just before injury-time after Brad Burton was clattered as he latched onto Reece Flanagan’s pass.
Flanagan stepped up but Hall produced a good diving save to deny him which wrapped up a good display from Telford but another unlucky day for Redditch.
