REDDITCH United have signed four new players ahead of the 2024-25 Southern League Premier Division Central campaign.

The Reds, who visit Evesham United on Tuesday (7.30pm) after beating Studley 3-1 in the previous pre-season friendly, have added Kartell Dawkins, Will Harris, Dennis Digie and Ross Evans.

Ex-Leicester City youth midfielder Dawkins, 20, joins after a strong end to last season with neighbours Alvechurch.

Harris, a 6ft 2ins 24-year-old centre-half, has impressed in friendlies after ending the campaign with Halesowen Town following five years in America.

Midfielder Digie, 22, returns for his second Reds spell having since played for the likes of Yate Town and Lye Town.

Attacking midfielder Ross Evans has scored in the friendlies and also been added to the squad to follow time at Solihull Moors, Alvechurch and Walsall Wood.

Redditch face Walsall Wood in their next pre-season friendly at the Valley Stadium on Saturday (3pm) and head to Stourport Swifts next Tuesday (7.45pm).

All gate proceeds from this weekend will be donated to long-serving midfielder Aram Soleman who has ruptured his ACL for a second time.

He is close to fully funding required surgery in a few weeks.

United make the long trip to Lowestoft Town for their league opener on Saturday, August 10 before the first home game on Monday, August 12 against Halesowen Town.

The Reds host Stourbridge on Monday, August 26 and play away on New Year's Day while they go to Halesowen on Saturday, December 21.

The derbies with Alvechurch are at home on Monday, September 9 and away on Saturday, March 8 and against Bromsgrove Sporting away on Tuesday, September 24 and at home on Saturday, March 29.

The season ends on Saturday, April 26 at home to Hitchin Town.

The Reds added to their unbeaten pre-season start with the home victory over neighbours Studley.

Redditch went ahead early on after Johnny Johnston's through-ball was backheeled in by a trialist.

They doubled their lead just before half-time after the trialist grabbed his second with a fine finish.

Another trialist added another early in the second period before an own goal completed the scoring.

Meanwhile, Alvechurch host Bedworth United on Saturday (3pm) in pre-season.

A Church XI head to Redditch Borough on Wednesday beforehand (7.45pm).

They held National League side Halifax Town 1-1 at Lye Meadow on Saturday with a Joe Willis penalty and last week won 1-0 at Worcester Raiders with a trialist on target.
