REDDITCH United exited the Emirates FA Cup in the second qualifying round on Monday night at the Valley Stadium.
The Reds could not see off lower-ranked Shifnal Town, losing 1-0 at home after being held to a 1-1 away draw on Saturday.
Shifnal will host the winners of the replay between Rugby Town and Hednesford Town.
Joe Thomas scored the winner one minute before half-time for the Midland League Premier Division high-fliers with a lob into the net after a loose back pass.
On Saturday, Alex Cameron netted for the Reds only for Kevin Monteiro to level on 80 minutes.
The midweek loss added to Redditch's woes after several bad injuries with boss Tim Flowers confirming defender Will Harris had suffered an ACL injury that is likely to keep him out for the season.
Former Alvechurch midfielder Ross Evans looks to have suffered a serious injury to his ankle.
The Reds now go into the weekend on the back of three games without a win which includes last week's 1-0 home loss to neighbours Alvechurch.
Flowers' sixth-placed side will visit mid-table Bedford Town on Saturday (3pm).
United have added attacking midfielder Billy Shaw, 22, though from county rivals Bromsgrove Sporting who they visit next Tuesday in the league (7.45pm).
Manager Flowers said: “Billy’s a lad that was at Bromsgrove when I was there during the end of last season.
"I was always impressed with his technical ability, his ability to affect the game and just his general personality around the place.
"He is genuinely two-footed and in terms of technique he’s excellent, he’s got a goal in him and is very versatile in the positions he can play.
"He has been one I’ve been keeping my eye on. I noticed he came off at half-time during their FA Cup game against Belper and then was on the bench for the replay.
"I asked about his availability and so put seven days in which Bromsgrove waived."
Meanwhile, Alvechurch secured another eye-catching win to go top after eight games by beating West Midlands rivals Halesowen Town 1-0 at Lye Meadow.
Dan Shaw, 17, signed on loan from Blackburn Rovers, scored the winner in the 84th-minute to upset much-fancied Town in front of 704 fans.
Church aim to build on the momentum at home to Stamford on Saturday (3pm) and in another big regional derby at Lye Meadow next Tuesday against Stourbridge (7.45pm).
