REDDITCH United succumbed to a comprehensive Halesowen Town revenge with a 3-0 Isuzu FA Trophy third qualifying round exit at the Valley Stadium.
But Tim Flowers' side followed up Saturday's defeat with a 4-0 home win over neighbours Redditch Borough in the Worcestershire FA Senior Cup on Monday night watched by 1,039 fans.
Halesowen had lost 3-2 at the Reds in the FA Cup this season but made no mistake at the weekend in front of a crowd of 476.
Redditch made a positive start as Alex Cameron and Jaiden White sent shots over but Halesowen got into the game.
New keeper Callum Smith, signed from Stratford Town, saved from Kieren Donnelly before the same player's effort from inside the box had too much power for the opener on 32 minutes.
And the second half started poorly for the hosts as a McKauley Manning corner evaded everyone on its way into the net on 47 minutes.
Then a cross was not dealt with and Jordan Ponticelli made it three on 51 minutes.
Cameron and skipper Jordan Cranston went close but it was never enough for Reds to find a way back.
Reds made changes for Monday, including a full debut for ex-Coleshill Town midfielder Sam Fitzgerald.
Billy Shaw fired in a low Marvellous Onabirekhanlen cross to open the scoring on 13 minutes after Borough forced an early Smith save.
United ran away with the second half as Max Ram smashed a header in off the bar for the second goal just one minute in.
Fitzgerald added a third on 53 minutes with a left-footed finish and the same player wrapped up the win seven minutes from time when finishing off White's cross.
Ninth-placed Reds host mid-table AFC Sudbury in the league on Saturday (3pm) and visit lowly Barwell next Monday (7.45pm).
Defender George Burroughs has joined permanently from AFC Telford United after a loan spell last season but midfielder Musa Ceesay has left the Reds.
Meanwhile, 10-man Alvechurch won 2-1 at Spalding United in the FA Trophy and now head to Stourbridge in the first round on Saturday, October 26.
Goals from Callum Sullivan and David Solademi with a winner on 88 minutes followed by a penalty save in the 93rd minute from Ronnie Hollingshead secured progress.
Forward Dan Sweeney was sent off on 53 minutes for two yellow cards.
Church head to Telford in the league next Tuesday (7.45pm).
