Redditch United 0 Swindon Supermarine 1.
Another poor performance by Redditch in front of the home fans saw them slump to defeat against the bottom side.
If this is a new era for Redditch after the appointment of Graham Hyde, then on this evidence it could be that there is little improvement on the previous one.
Pawel Tomczak and Will Richards, both signed on loan from Solihull started for Redditch.
To be fair, they started in a lively fashion, Cameron Jones shooting over the bar and then seeing his shot easily saved.
But things ground to a halt after this and Swindon looked the more comfortable from here on in.
They copuld have taken the lead on 25 minutes when a poor back pass by Alex Hickman back to the goalkeeper only reached striker Bradley Gray and he should have done better than hit Dean Coleman's legs with his shot.
Redditch could have taken the lead three minutes before the break though when Will Richards' angled shot was cleared off the line and the ball came out to Lee Osborne who shot against two defenders, also on the line.
Directly after the break Swindon had a really good spell, Max Etheridge just failing to turn the ball in after it came to him from a cross.
Coleman made a great save from Ben Wells two minutes later but on 59, Wells crossed low for Max Etheridge to bundle it in.
Wells put a free kick just over the bar and then Redditch had a chance when Osborne found himself clear on goal but his shot hit the keeper.
Richards was just wide with a shot a few minutes later but in truth this was a very poor performance by Redditch, who looked short on confidence and ideas.
